Al-Hoceima National Park

Places to visit · Al Hoceïma

About this place

Al-Hoceima National Park protects a Mediterranean coastline of rare beauty, where limestone cliffs plunge into turquoise waters of exceptional clarity. Between land and sea, this preserved territory shelters unique ecosystems: pine forests, scrubland fragrant with thyme and rosemary, sea caves sculpted by the waves. Rare species such as the osprey and Audouin's gull can be observed here, whilst the seabed reveals remarkable Mediterranean biodiversity.

Hiking trails wind along the headlands, offering striking panoramas of the bay and rocky islets. Diving and snorkelling enthusiasts discover preserved underwater life, whilst isolated coves invite swimming in an almost virgin setting. The park appeals to lovers of authentic nature, hikers and travellers seeking wild Mediterranean, far from the crowds. Access is from Taoussart, a Berber village which constitutes an ideal gateway for exploring this natural jewel of the Rif.
