Places to visit · Casablanca
About this place
The Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes church stands in the Œufs neighbourhood, recognisable by its streamlined silhouette and geometric lines typical of the 1950s. Its white architecture with simple volumes contrasts with Casablanca's urban bustle. The interior surprises with its colourful contemporary stained-glass windows that flood the nave with changing light, creating a soothing atmosphere conducive to contemplation.
This visit will appeal to lovers of 20th-century religious architecture and those interested in the heritage of the French protectorate period. People come here to admire the play of light from the stained-glass windows, appreciate the Art Deco sobriety and understand Casablanca's cultural diversity. Access is free during opening hours for worship, respecting services and the silence of the place.
