Set in an elegant Moorish palace in the heart of Tangier's medina, this museum occupies the former diplomatic legation offered by Sultan Moulay Slimane in 1821. Its salons with carved cedar ceilings, its tiled courtyards and its bright rooms tell the singular story of relations between Morocco and the United States, the first to recognise American independence in 1777. The atmosphere is peaceful, almost intimate, far from the hustle and bustle of the neighbouring souks.

J’ai adoré visiter ce musée. Les pièces , les meubles et les récits nous plongent dans une autre époque et permettent aussi d’en apprendre plus sur l’histoire entre le Maroc et les Etats-Unis. Entrée à 50dirhams
